Theater and language learning can each open up a world of possibilities for children. Now they have a chance to do both during one unforgettable and unique summer camp experience. Your children will develop invaluable lifelong confidence and interpersonal skills through games, stories, music, reading, and more while learning German.
Campers will work primarily within their age group in either the "elementary" (2nd-5th grade) or "intermediate" group (6th-9th) while enjoying nearly 70 hours of drama experience in German!
Example of daily activities:
8am-10am: Arrival, warm-up activities, drama games, new vocabulary through motions and games
10am-10:15am: Morning break and snack
10:15am-11:30am: Acting out stories with new vocabulary, songs, video production, crafts
11:30am-12:15pm: Lunch and outdoor games. Walk to the park together. In case of bad weather, indoor lunch and an animated German film.
12:15pm-3:00pm: Scene study, performing and rehearsing scenes from the play, character work, drama games
The two-week day camp will conclude with a short performance for parents of an all-German version of the classic tale "Bremen Town Musicians". There is no prior acting/theater or German experience required, but campers with prior knowledge are welcome! The camp is limited to the first 24 participants to register.
